Bees face greater difficulties in collecting nectar during the month of August. Scientists have identified that this situation is associated with the period of greatest heat in summer, when conditions become more challenging for these pollinators.

According to the specialists, this difficulty is due to the fact that there are fewer flowers available at this time of year. The reduction of natural food sources creates a significant scarcity of resources for bees.

Furthermore, the number of competing pollinators increases precisely when food resources become scarcer. This combination of more pollinators competing for less food further worsens the situation for bees during this period.
