Within a 24-hour interval, Terreirão has three shooting victims; one died

The Terreirão community, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the Southwest Zone of Rio de Janeiro, recorded three firearm shooting episodes in an interval of just 24 hours. One of the victims did not survive the injuries.

Last Wednesday, military police officers from the 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes) were called to respond to a homicide occurrence on Rua Zélio Valverde. At the scene, the officers found a dead man. Forensic analysis was conducted and the case was referred to the Capital Homicide Police Station (DHC).

This Thursday, teams from the same battalion returned to Terreirão after two men were shot. Witnesses reported that occupants of a motorcycle arrived on Rua do Arquiteto and fired at a young man, who ran to take shelter in a barbershop.
