The former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) stated in her radio campaign debut that she decided to run for a Senate seat in the Federal District after receiving a "mission" from her husband, former President Jair Bolsonaro. In about two minutes of advertisement, she declared: "This (Senate candidacy) was the mission my husband entrusted to me. I will be there helping on all the issues that are dear to my heart."
During the advertisement, Michelle recalled memories of the Bolsonaro government and remembered her childhood in Ceilândia, but avoided mentioning her stepson and PL presidential candidate, Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ). The absence of Flavinho occurs amid a strategy of the presidential campaign to expand the former first lady's participation in the race for the Palace of the Presidency.
According to campaign interlocutors, the content taken to radio will have variations on television and throughout the campaign time slot. The piece shown on television will include a jingle of Michelle in piseiro rhythm, with the verses "Strong fought...", according to campaign sources.
