The floods that occurred at the beginning of the mandate constrained the first months of work of the municipality, creating significant challenges for municipal management. The situation forced the local authority to prioritize immediate response actions to the detriment of other planned projects.
The construction of two bridges that will connect the banks of the Mondego River is one of the priority projects, with completion expected by the end of 2027. This infrastructure represents an important investment for mobility and connectivity between the different areas of the municipality.
The mayor warned about the urgency of implementing drainage pumps in the Ereira area, considering this an urgent need given the recurring flooding problems. This issue was highlighted as fundamental to protect the population and avoid future material damage.
