The president of the public company Engineering Systems for the Defense of Spain (Isdefe), Manuel Cutrín, submitted his irrevocable resignation this Thursday to the Board of Administration. The decision was communicated to all workers through an email in which he cites "personal reasons" and the desire to "face new challenges," thanking them for the work carried out during "this last year."
Cutrín's resignation comes two months after his number two left the company in the context of the Leire Díez case, suggesting a connection between both departures in the leadership of the public company.
According to information reported by the newspaper ABC, Cutrín was actually "asked to leave" after news articles published by that newspaper about his management, contradicting the official version of "personal reasons" presented in the communication to employees.
