Madeira recorded 62 accidents in one week

Madeira recorded 62 traffic accidents during one week, according to data from PSP. Road accidents resulted in 19 minor injuries, but there were no fatalities or serious injuries recorded during this period.

Police authorities made 15 arrests for road crimes. Of the arrests made, nine were related to driving under the influence of alcohol, representing more than half of the total arrests made.

PSP was the security force responsible for traffic control and enforcement in the region during this analysis period. The data collected allows for assessing the state of road accidents on the island of Madeira.
