The PSPV accuses PP and Vox of opening a new front against the teaching staff and turning Inspection into an "ideological police"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General28 August 2026 at 13:07

The PSPV-PSOE of Castelló accused PP and Vox of opening a new front against the teaching staff by incorporating into educational regulations new functions for the Inspection to control the "ideological neutrality" of schools.

According to the socialists, this measure transforms educational Inspection into a kind of "ideological police," which represents an attack on the freedom of teaching and the rights of teachers.

The conflict arises after the approval of changes in educational regulations by the government formed by PP and Vox in the Valencian Community.

The accusations were presented publicly by representatives of the PSPV-PSOE of Castelló, who considered these new functions as an undue intervention in educational activity.
