At 30 years old, Luana Lopes Lara, a woman from Belo Horizonte, makes her debut on Forbes Brazil's billionaire list in 2026 with an estimated fortune of R$ 13.4 billion. She is Brazil's youngest self-made billionaire and one of the rare people on the ranking who built their own wealth without inheritance. Her fortune was formed in just over five years.
Luana is Co-founder of Kalshi, an American prediction markets platform. Her wealth jump occurred in December 2025, when Kalshi raised US$ 1 billion in a funding round that valued the company at US$ 11 billion. At that time, Luana and Tarek Mansour, her business partner, had approximately 12% stake each in the company.
With these stakes, both joined the group of billionaires, with an estimated net worth of US$ 1.3 billion each. In the Brazilian edition of Forbes 2026, Luana's attributed fortune appears at R$ 13.4 billion. She occupies a particular position in the Brazilian ranking by meeting two criteria: being young and having built her own wealth, without inheritance.
