The Forbes magazine published on Thursday its traditional list of Brazilian billionaires, which brings together 255 names and marks the beginning of the 15th year of publication of the magazine. The ranking brings the update of assets by sector, with emphasis on the generational diversity among the richest in the country.
The two oldest billionaires in Brazil are João Jacob Vontobel and Daniel Miguel Klabin, both 97 years old. Following are Consuelo Andrade de Araújo, 94 years old, and Ivan Müller Botelho and Alair Martins do Nascimento, both 92 years old.
Together, these five billionaires accumulate assets of R$ 16.2 billion. At the other end of the ranking, the youngest billionaire in Brazil is 21 years old, highlighting the large distance between the generations represented in the list.
