PPM criticizes "passing the buck" over the Cristo Rei do Garajau

PPM Madeira criticized what it considers to be a "passing the buck" game between the Santa Cruz City Hall and the Regional Government regarding responsibility for the maintenance and conservation of the Cristo Rei do Garajau monument.

The party points out that both entities are shifting blame onto each other, with neither assuming responsibility for the monument's conservation. The situation raises concerns about the state of conservation of the Cristo Rei do Garajau, one of the region's most emblematic tourist and cultural landmarks.

PPM demands that responsibility for the monument's maintenance be clarified, considering that the current ambiguity is harmful to the preservation of this regional symbol.
