Estoril Praia completed the signing of Greek centre-back Stelios Andreou. The 24-year-old player arrives at the Portuguese club on a season-long loan from Widzew Lodz. The agreement between the clubs includes a purchase option set at 1.5 million euros. With this operation, Estoril strengthens its defensive sector with a Greek international player.

Portuguese referee Luís Godinho, from Borba, in the Alentejo region, was selected by UEFA to participate in the Elite Refereeing Summer Course, taking place between August 31 and September 2 in Geneva, Switzerland. Alongside João Pinheiro and António Nobre, Godinho is part of a group of three Portuguese referees called for this top-level training, which aims to evaluate and prepare referees for the main European competitions of the new season.
