More than half of the consumer credit intermediaries are linked to the automotive sector. This is one of the conclusions of a report by the Bank of Portugal on the activity of credit intermediaries.
Among the ancillary credit intermediaries registered as legal entities, 61% had as their main activity the retail sale of automobiles, motorcycles, their parts and accessories. This strong link to the automotive sector is reflected in the predominance of these intermediaries in the Portuguese market.
The Bank of Portugal report analyzes the performance and activity of these intermediaries during a certain period, highlighting the concentration of the sector around automotive trade.
