Marc Márquez started the MotoGP weekend at MotorLand Aragón demonstrating that territory is his. The Catalan rider, ninth-time champion, prevailed in the first timed session of the weekend, FP1, by posting a time of 1:47.532.
Márquez was the only Ducati present in the Top 3 of the session. The other two positions were occupied by Aprilia riders, Raúl Fernández and Marco Bezzecchi, completing the list of the three fastest in the first session.
The Aragón circuit has historically been favorable to Márquez, who has already demonstrated dominance at this track on previous occasions. The Ducati rider seeks to maintain his good form at this circuit where he usually performs well.
