Not just McHappy Day sustains the Ronald McDonald House; learn other ways to help

The Ronald McDonald House, located in Maracanã, offers free accommodation to children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment and their families. The institution, although having the McDonald's chain as a founding partner, is an independent organization that depends on various fundraising sources to maintain its activities.

There are three main ways to contribute to the house throughout the year: donate food, dedicate some hours to volunteer work, or make monthly contributions. These alternatives complement the McHappy Day mobilization, which took place last Saturday (22).

According to Carlos Neves, operational director of the house, the resources from McHappy Day represent approximately 45% of the institution's funding. The Ronald McDonald House operation costs more than R$ 5 million per year, making continuous community support essential to guarantee the functioning of the accommodation services.
