The Route through the Interior and Cross-Border Cooperation is an initiative promoted by the secretary-general of the Socialist Party, José Luís Carneiro. This is a trip that aims to travel through the country's interior, with particular focus on cross-border cooperation issues.

On this last day of the initiative, the route passed through Baixo Alentejo, a region in the southern interior of Portugal. The itinerary included a first stop in the municipality of Moura, followed by another in Mértola, both municipalities in the district of Beja.

This action is part of the broader context of promoting the Portuguese interior and strengthening cooperation relations between Portugal and neighboring countries, especially regarding border regions.
