Montenegro's President traveled to São Tomé and Príncipe on September 3 to attend the São Tomé and Príncipe President's inauguration. This visit represents an important moment in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
In addition to attending the inauguration ceremony, the trip also aimed to prepare Portugal's term as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, which will begin in January 2027.
This diplomatic preparation comes within the broader context of Portuguese foreign policy and its commitment to international organizations, particularly regarding the peace and global security issues addressed by the UN Security Council.
