Electoral harassment: judge explains how to identify political pressure in the workplace

Electoral harassment in labor relations has been taking on new forms with the advancement of digital communication tools, and a study by the Labor Court analyzed 662 cases on the subject between May 2023 and December 2025. Judge Rodrigo Trindade, supervisor of the Judicial Research Center, explained on CBN Studio the new forms of political pressure in companies, including the use of WhatsApp and social networks, and warned about the proximity of elections as a risk factor for new cases. Electoral harassment is characterized by any form of punishment, embarrassment, stimulation, rewards or coercion in the workplace related to workers' political preferences.
