The European Space Agency signed its first major contract with the Spanish company PLD Space under the European Launcher Challenge program, worth 158.9 million euros. The agreement aims to expand the launch capacity of the MIURA 5 rocket and develop new orbital capabilities, strengthening European autonomy in the space launch sector.
