Family of Odair Moniz appeals sentence and requests harsher penalty for PSP officer

The family of Odair Moniz, murdered by PSP officer Bruno Pinto in 2020 in Madeira, has appealed the sentence requesting a harsher sentence. The Public Prosecutor's Office also filed an appeal against the decision. Bruno Pinto was sentenced to three years and six months of suspended prison sentence, which was considered insufficient by the victim's family. The case involved a point-blank shooting during a police operation on a public street.
