Mónica García denies healthcare collapse in Ceuta: Not a single operating room has been suspended
El Periódico Mediterráneo - General27 August 2026 at 16:09
The Spanish Minister of Health, Mónica García, defended the health management during the migratory crisis in Ceuta before Congress, classifying the system's response as "excellent" and denying that there was a collapse in health centers. García stated that not a single appointment or operating room was canceled and that the hospital has more than "100 free beds," contradicting the reports from political parties and health unions after the arrival of approximately 80,000 immigrants from Morocco at the end of July.
