VIDEO: Truck overturns at the Peixe Market roundabout and people loot rice cargo

A tanker truck overturned at the exit to Mercado do Peixe, on the BR-343 highway, spreading a load of rice along the shoulder. Quickly, bystanders approached and looted the bags of rice that had fallen. The Military Police needed to intervene and isolate the area to contain the looting and prevent the situation from getting out of control.

Robbery at pawnshop in Lisbon yields 60 thousand euros

Three men robbed a pawnshop in Lisbon, stealing gold items valued at approximately 60 thousand euros in just 10 seconds. A mudslide hit on Wednesday, the 26th, the border region between Nepal and Tibet, leaving people missing. The landslide, which reportedly originated from the Nepali side, left a layer of mud that in some points reaches up to 2 meters in depth. Composed of a wave of water, ice, sands and rocks, the avalanche went down through the Trishuli and Bhote Koshi rivers, reaching areas near the border between the two territories. Due to the mountainous nature of the region, much of it remains isolated, and information arrives slowly, making it difficult to assess the full extent of the damage and the number of victims.
