The Bishop of Bragança-Miranda, D. Nuno Almeida, asked the community to give "more life" to the Pastoral Unit of Nossa Senhora das Graças, during the solemnity of the patron saint of the city. In his homily, the prelate stated that it is necessary to continue with more dynamism and enthusiasm to organize the liturgical and pastoral life from the Cathedral, which celebrates 25 years on October 7. D. Nuno Almeida highlighted Marian devotion as a characteristic of the Christian faith in the region and asked that the community walk united, making of life a pilgrimage towards God and their brothers, also warning of the need to cultivate an "integral ecology" and to be attentive and participatory citizens. The celebration was attended by civil and religious authorities and the bishop emeritus, with the feast ending in a procession with 48 floats.
