Driver of hit-and-run in Albufeira held in preventive detention according to GNR

The driver responsible for the ramming incident in Albufeira was ordered into preventive custody by the GNR. The incident occurred at 3 AM on Tuesday on a street in the city's nightlife area, in the district of Faro, causing 16 injured, two of them seriously, most of them young people between 18 and 35 years old.
A nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The PSP is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no further details yet about what caused the fall.
