Second fatal victim of West Nile virus in Andalusia: an 89-year-old man infected in Utrera dies

An 89-year-old man died in Andalusia due to the West Nile virus, becoming the second fatal victim of the season in the region. The elderly man, a resident of Guadalema de los Quintero, a hamlet of Utrera, had been hospitalized at the Virgen del Rocío Hospital since he was diagnosed with meningoencephalitis caused by the virus on August 24.

Driver of hit-and-run in Albufeira remanded in custody
