Carmo Detailed Plan initiated in 2014 is approved

The Municipal Chamber of Funchal approved on Thursday the Detail Plan of Carmo, whose process began in 2014, with the document expected to go to the Municipal Assembly at the end of September. The plan aims at the urban requalification of that area in the city center, with interventions in public space, roads and accessibility, as well as creating conditions for the rehabilitation of buildings and housing construction.

Póvoa de Varzim: free energy audits with applications until September 15

The Municipality of Póvoa de Varzim has extended until September 15 the deadline for applications for free energy audits for owner-occupied homes, within the scope of Espaço Energia. There are 65 technical assessments available, carried out by qualified experts, which include a detailed analysis of property conditions, equipment, and consumption patterns, culminating in a report with investment recommendations to reduce consumption, improve thermal comfort, and combat energy poverty. The proposed solutions may include insulation, replacement of inefficient equipment, integration of renewable energy, and water management improvements. Interested parties should submit their application by email or in person at the Municipal Service Center.
