Police identify fifth accused of involvement in Copacabana beating and conduct searches to arrest him

Rio police identified the fifth suspect in the beating of cyclist Cláudio Rafael Landeiro in Copacabana: Wellington Luiz Santos de Souza, who appears in videos kicking the victim in the head. The suspect is being sought with an arrest warrant obtained from the Judicial Emergency Court. According to witnesses, Wellington approached delivery workers, asked if the victim was a "thief," and after receiving an affirmative answer, kicked his head saying "thieves deserve to die anyway."
