Civil Police targets in Rio group that stole cars and used internet ads to clone them

The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro launched on Thursday (27) Operation Sinal Oculto (Hidden Signal) to dismantle a criminal organization specialized in theft, tampering with identification signals, and cloning of vehicles, which were advertised on internet platforms. The operation is carried out by the Capital's Robbery and Automobile Theft Division, with support from the General Department of Capital and Baixada Fluminense Police, executing arrest and search warrants in neighborhoods in the West and Southwest Zones of Rio, as well as in Niterói and São Gonçalo, where a suspect has already been arrested.
