Municipal Force prepares reinforcement of 322 agents; see the profile of the new class

The Municipal Force of Rio de Janeiro, with just over five months of operation in preventive and overt policing, is preparing to reinforce with 322 new agents. The teams are already present in 13 regions of the city and, during this period, carried out more than 12 thousand stop-and-frisks and 1,126 arrests and transfers to police stations, becoming part of daily life for Rio de Janeiro residents.

A mudslide hit on Wednesday, the 26th, the border region between Nepal and Tibet, leaving people missing. The landslide, which reportedly originated from the Nepali side, left a layer of mud that in some points reaches up to 2 meters in depth. Composed of a wave of water, ice, sands and rocks, the avalanche went down through the Trishuli and Bhote Koshi rivers, reaching areas near the border between the two territories.
