The heist of the century in Alicante: thieves steal the Treasure of Villena from the Muvi in just four minutes

The Treasure of Villena, one of the most important archaeological discoveries on the Iberian Peninsula, was stolen during the early morning hours of this Thursday from the Villena Museum (Muvi), in the province of Alicante, Spain. The heist was carried out in just four minutes, around five in the morning. The theft represents a major heritage loss for the region.
A driver who was a victim of a violent robbery in Lisbon on Tuesday guarantees he was not responsible for the death of the attacker, stating he acted in self-defense when he had a firearm pointed at his head. In exclusive statements to SIC, the driver defended himself against the accusations, explaining that his reaction was proportional to the imminent threat he faced during the robbery.
