Novo Banco puts up for sale properties, companies and credits of Luís Filipe Vieira

Novo Banco has put up for sale a diversified set of assets belonging to Luís Filipe Vieira, the former president of Benfica, including properties, companies and credits, in an effort to recover a substantial part of a total debt estimated at 400 million euros. This asset disposal operation is part of the bank's measures to minimize losses related to the non-performing credit associated with the former sports executive.

IHRU opens competitions for 77 affordable rental homes in 19 municipalities

The Instituto da Habitação e da Reabilitação Urbana (IHRU) has opened nine draw competitions for the allocation of 77 affordable rental housing units, under the Housing Rental Support Program (PAA). Applications run until September 17, 2026 and cover housing types from T0 to T6, distributed across 19 municipalities, including Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro, Beja, Évora, Setúbal, among others. Interested parties must first obtain the Application Registration Certificate on the PAA Platform and then submit their application through the IHRU Arrenda Platform.

European Union: Chinese small orders drop 30% to 40%
