Trade war tightens and could even affect toilet paper in the US; find out why

The escalation of the trade war between the United States and Canada threatens to affect basic products such as toilet paper. After the failure of trade negotiations, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada will respond to American tariffs "dollar for dollar," releasing a list of nearly 900 American products subject to surcharges between 25% and 50% starting September 8, including toilet paper and paper towels with tariffs of up to 50%. The measure is in response to the 50% tariffs imposed by Washington on Canadian products.
