Who gets the dog? Former couple can't agree and court decides: auction

A former couple in Germany could not reach an agreement about the custody of a female dog they bought together during their relationship. Faced with the conflict, the Regional Court of Koblenz intervened and decided that the animal should be auctioned to resolve the dispute over the pet's ownership.

Driver of hit-and-run in Albufeira remanded in custody

The 35-year-old driver who ran over 16 people in the Oura area, in Albufeira, was placed in preventive detention after judicial interrogation. The incident occurred around 3:00 AM on Tuesday on a nightlife street, leaving 16 injured, two in serious condition, including two GNR military officers. The driver, who was on vacation in the city, was arrested after fleeing from authorities and had an alcohol level of 1.29 g/l, having been charged with the crimes of aggravated assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, and dangerous driving.
