On August 27, 551 B.C., the philosopher and thinker Confucius was born in China, considered one of the precursors of social ethics. Among his most well-known principles is the so-called "Golden Rule": "Do not do to others what you do not like done to yourself," a fundamental concept that continues to be widely shared and applied today.
