Sea waters flood community in Macaé, and swell warning remains in effect for Thursday

Macaé's City Hall intensified monitoring of the Fronteira community after the advance of the sea caused new impacts in the region historically affected by coastal erosion. Civil Defense conducted six assistances to families living in the most critical points, with most of the affected properties already under embargo. The removed families were advised to seek the Housing Secretariat for assistance. The situation is aggravated by sea conditions, and the Brazilian Navy extended until this Thursday the heavy swell alert for the region.
