A GNR military officer from Coimbra, Hugo Pires, who was shot in 2019 during a conflict, resulting in a projectile in his jaw and permanent disability, has now received compensation of 116 thousand euros corresponding to the degree of disability he was left with.

Driver of hit-and-run in Albufeira remanded in custody

The 35-year-old driver who ran over 16 people in the Oura area, in Albufeira, was placed in preventive detention after judicial interrogation.
