Pilot and influencer Lito Sousa published a video recorded on the day he received the diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare, degenerative neurological condition with no known cure. Initially treated as a possible autoimmune encephalitis, a specific marker confirmed the disease. In the video, recorded while he still had cognitive capacity, Lito states he is not afraid of death, but fears his absence from his son's life. He and his wife Mila Seidl decided to make the diagnosis public to seek experimental treatments.
