Unpublished work by Tabucchi published in Portugal in September

An unfinished work by Italian writer Antonio Tabucchi, who never published it during his lifetime, will be published in Portugal in September. The manuscript was discovered in a drawer in the author's house and reconstructed by researcher Anne-Catherine Simionato, from the University of Liège in Belgium, who worked for years to reconstitute the text from the materials left by Tabucchi.

Festival do Rio 2026 announces selected Brazilian films for Première Brasil; see list

The Rio Festival announced 101 selected films for the 28th edition of Première Brasil, which takes place from October 1 to 11. The projects were chosen from 1,500 feature and short films submitted. Among the highlights are "Vicentina Pede Desculpas," which is competing for Brazil's Oscar 2027 nomination, and "A Margem do Rio," recently awarded at Locarno.
