Iran claims to have made an agreement with Oman to share navigation revenue through the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced having reached an agreement with Oman to share transit fee revenues through the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the negotiations defined which waters belong to each country and the revenue share for each. Iranian spokesman Hossein Mohebi accused the United States of obstructing the negotiations, which are stalled in the broader context of the conflict between Tehran and Washington, especially due to the Iranian demand to charge tolls from ships passing through the strategic strait — a demand categorically rejected by the USA.
