The Águas do Douro e Paiva is strengthening cooperation with four more firefighting corps, in an initiative that aims to deepen the firefighters' knowledge of the company's facilities, access routes and their main characteristics. This collaboration resumes contacts and visits carried out previously and aims to ensure a faster, safer and more effective response from rescue teams whenever necessary.

A mudslide hit on Wednesday, the 26th, the border region between Nepal and Tibet, leaving people missing. The landslide, which reportedly originated from the Nepali side, left a layer of mud that in some points reaches up to 2 meters in depth. Composed of a wave of water, ice, sands and rocks, the avalanche went down through the Trishuli and Bhote Koshi rivers, reaching areas near the border between the two territories.
