PSP arrests two men for road traffic offenses in Coimbra

The Public Security Police detained two men, aged 24 and 33, on August 25 and 26, in Coimbra, for road traffic offenses. The first detention occurred on Avenida Fernão de Magalhães, during a checkpoint operation, and the second was carried out the following day, as part of road traffic control actions carried out by the PSP.
A driver who was a victim of a violent robbery in Lisbon on Tuesday guarantees he was not responsible for the death of the attacker, stating he acted in self-defense when he had a firearm pointed at his head. In exclusive statements to SIC, the driver defended himself against the accusations, explaining that his reaction was proportional to the imminent threat he faced during the robbery.
A nine-year-old girl suffered serious injuries after falling from the second floor of a building in Caldas da Rainha. The PSP is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident, with no further details yet about what caused the fall.
A devastating avalanche struck the Himalayas between Nepal and Tibet at an altitude of about 5 kilometers, causing such intense destruction that it was compared to an earthquake.
