101-year-old great-grandmother arrested for drug trafficking in Nigeria

A 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, was detained in Nigeria by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for allegedly selling cannabis. The great-grandmother was detained in Ilisan, in the state of Ogun, in possession of 90 grams of skunk packaged in small bags for retail sale. According to the NDLEA, Ogunmabo started dedicating herself to drug trafficking after a fire destroyed her grocery store.
The fires that devastated Vouzela and Valpaços were officially classified as a "natural disaster", opening the way for support to affected farmers. The subsidies cover 100% of the first 10,000 euros of eligible expenditure, and agricultural holdings that recorded damages exceeding 30% of productive potential can apply for these government support measures.
