OpenAI began displaying advertising on ChatGPT in Europe, after tests in the US about six months ago. The ads appear at the end of some conversations for free users and the Go plan, in 31 European countries. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts are exempt from ads. The purchase of advertising space is available through major agencies such as Publicis, WPP, Omnicom and Dentsu. OpenAI has faced pressure to diversify its revenue sources.
