The AutoMEC UAV project, developed by about 30 students from the University of Aveiro, consists of building an autonomous drone for humanitarian missions. The device aims to transport medicines to hard-to-reach areas and perform water drops for firefighting. The project, which was born in 2019, involves students from different fields and has participated in national and international competitions, seeking to solve the challenge of bringing essential resources to places where human intervention is dangerous or impossible.
