1.1 million for the protection and enhancement of the Azibo Reservoir

The Municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros will invest approximately 1.1 million euros in the conservation and enhancement of the Protected Landscape of the Azibo Dam, through an operation funded by the ERDF under the Norte 2030 program. The project includes five measures to improve land management, protect biodiversity and regulate tourism activity. The mayor, Sérgio Borges, highlighted that this investment represents a strategic choice to preserve one of the main natural heritage sites of the municipality.
