Reading without an account
You can read the site without an account. Reading stores a cookie that records your answer to the analytics question and, if you set them, your language and the regions you chose to follow.
Analytics
Google Analytics counts visits. It is not loaded at all until you answer the consent banner, and it is never loaded if you decline. Your answer is kept for a year so the banner does not ask again.
If you accept, Google receives the usual page-view data: the address you opened, the referring address, and technical details of your browser.
If you register
An account stores your email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself), or the identifier of the provider you signed in with; your chosen interface language; the city you picked for weather and its coordinates; and the items you marked as favourites.
To have an account and its data deleted, write to [email protected].
Advertising
The site currently shows no advertising and loads no advertising scripts. If that changes, this page is updated before the first advertisement is shown, and the consent banner is extended to cover it.
