What is stored
Your answer to the analytics question, kept for a year. Without it the banner could not tell "not asked yet" from "asked and declined", and it would appear on every page.
Your interface language and the regions and sections you chose to follow, so the site opens the way you left it.
If you are signed in, a token that keeps you signed in.
If you accepted analytics, the cookies Google Analytics sets to count visits.
Refusing
Declining the banner means analytics is never loaded. The rest of the site works unchanged. Clearing your browser storage removes every item above, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
