A shooting during a rave in the early morning hours of this Sunday (30) in Aarau, a city located about 40 km from Zurich in Switzerland, resulted in one death and at least five injured, according to the cantonal police of Aargau. The event, called Aarauer Rave Vol. 7, was taking place at a horse racing track when shots were heard around 2:30 in the morning, local time.

Among the injured, some are in serious condition. Police confirmed the fatality after initial information indicated multiple victims. The complex where the party was taking place also had a swimming pool and sports field, and was blocked by authorities after the incident.

A major police operation was formed with a large contingent to track down the suspect. So far, investigators have not been able to clarify the motive for the shooting. Police asked the public to send videos, photos or any information from the event location through social media to assist in the investigation.
