MEO Kalorama, day 2: from Lauryn Hill's mistake to Vince Staples' boom

SAPO Notícias30 August 2026 at 08:30

Lauryn Hill promised a celebration of rap on the second day of MEO Kalorama, but ended up serving as much or more reggae than rap. Worse still, she let others perform in her place, becoming secondary or even absent from her own show. The artist, who was the headliner of the day, disappointed the audience present.

Despite this frustrating start, the festival featured more consistent performances. Vince Staples was one of the night's highlights, delivering a performance described as a boom, strongly contrasting with Hill's disappointing showing.

MEO Kalorama is a music festival that takes place in Portugal, bringing together international artists from various musical genres. The second day of the event was marked by this mix of experiences, between the frustration caused by the headliner and the positive energy brought by other artists like Vince Staples.
