Sunday of cloudy sky on the North coast and clearer on the South coast of Madeira

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) issued the weather forecast for this Sunday in Madeira. The weather conditions point to cloudy sky with periods of heavy cloud cover throughout the day.

On the north side of the island of Madeira and on the island of Porto Santo, the sky should be generally very cloudy. On the other hand, on the southwest side, cloud cover will be less, with the sky generally partly cloudy.

IPMA predicts precipitation above normal in the Azores during the coming weeks, with the Western Group potentially recording rain above average for three consecutive weeks, between late August and September. The Western and Central Groups should receive between 1 and 10 mm above normal in the first week, while the Eastern Group presents the opposite scenario, with values below normal. Temperatures should also be between 0.5°C and 1.5°C above normal in the first two weeks, without significant anomalies in the following weeks.
