Some early childhood education schools in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo offer camera systems that allow parents to follow their children's routine in real time via phone, even from a distance. The service aims to address the longing that families feel during the time children spend in daycare.
GLOBO's Daycare Guide is a tool that brings together approximately 300 early childhood education schools in both cities, offering information such as monthly fees, schedules, location, infrastructure, and teaching methodology. Among the listed options that provide the camera system are Studio da Criança, in Rio de Janeiro, and Colégio Esperanto, in São Paulo.
Colégio Magno/Mágico de Oz, also located in São Paulo, reported that in the 1990s, when the institution was opened, parents were informed about their children's routines by other means, before the existence of cameras.
